🎨 Tweens Art Class (Ages 10–12)

Tuesdays • 5:15–6:15 PM • Bespoke Art Studio

Our Tweens program is designed for young artists who are ready to stretch their skills, explore more advanced techniques, and develop their own artistic voice. This age group craves independence, challenge, and projects that feel “grown-up,” and we give them the perfect balance of structure and creative freedom.

Art at this stage strengthens problem-solving, patience, refinement of technique, confidence, and expressive thinking. Tweens learn how to plan their artwork, make intentional choices, and bring their ideas to life with increasing skill and sophistication.

🌈 What We Do in Class

Each class includes:

• A multi-step project that builds technique, creativity, and confidence

• Skill-building in shading, proportion, composition, color theory, and texture

• Work with a variety of mediums such as acrylics, watercolor, drawing tools, clay, ink, markers, and mixed media

• Guidance on how to develop ideas, experiment, revise, and finish work with pride

• Supportive instruction while encouraging students to explore their personal style

Projects may include painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber arts, printmaking, clay, mixed media, and theme-based work.

This age group is developing:

• Stronger technical skills and control

• Focus and perseverance on longer, multi-step projects

• Creative problem-solving and decision-making

• Confidence through skill mastery and personal style

• Independent thinking within a guided framework

• The ability to reflect, revise, and complete polished artwork

We support these growing skills through projects that challenge, excite, and inspire them.

👋 Participation & Drop-Off

Tweens do well when they can:

• Participate for the full 60-minute class

• Follow multi-step instructions

• Work independently with supportive guidance

• Communicate their needs or ask for clarification

Parents are encouraged to drop off. If staying in the studio, please be aware that our small space amplifies sound and can make instruction difficult.

No Class: March 17 (Spring Break)

Make-Up Class: Monday, April 21
Tentative Student Art Show: Wednesday, May 6
